Next Up

I've finally stopped playing Skyrim. I'm sure I could have gotten many more hours of gameplay out of it, but I only had so much beer. I've started up Saints Row: The Third, though it has yet to really grab my attention. I've been putting more time into Angry Birds, having recently acquired an iPhone. I think I'm going to pair it with canned craft beer with colorful labels. It will be perfect for the bus ride home after work.

Reflex Mouse Accel Configuration Wizard

Confused by Reflex's mouse acceleration options? Completely understandable - there's a lot going on with all of the variables. Even worse - acceleration settings deeply depend on your mouse's DPI, so you can't just copy/paste someone else's settings and hope they work for you!

So, I wrote this little tool to give you a starting point. First, enter your mouse DPI and reflex game sensitivity (aka m_speed in console). Then go to into Reflex's "Options" menu, then "Mouse Settings" and copy the outputs this tool spat out (you'll need to check the box for "Enable Advanced Options").

DPI
Reflex Sensitivity

Acceleration
Sensitivity Cap
Offset
Power
Post-Scale X
Post-Scale Y
Angle

Now that you've copied those settings into the menu, before you go in game do some quick wrist flicks and see if the little white circle can make it to the flat part of the curve at the top. Hopefully it can (and hopefully it doesn't reach it with very slow mouse movements). If not, tweak the acceleration value up or down until you can make it hit the flat part.

Next, go in game and see how it feels. It might feel like it's terribly high sensitivity. If so, change both of the post-scale settings to something like 0.6. If it's still too high, change it to 0.5 or something lower. Basically, tweak those values according to your preference and try to leave the other values alone. The "x" value is for horizontal movement, and the "y" value is for vertical. I have come to appreciate higher vertical sensitivity (I have 0.31 X and 0.5 Y) for easier rocket jumps.

If you end up liking the in game mouse acceleration options, keep in mind that povohat wrote an awesome driver that lets you have the same feeling in Windows and any other game. And this tool will let you copy your Reflex settings directly to the driver for the same acceleration curve and feeling.

Best Phone Camera Headset And Gaming System You Want In 2019!

Nintendo Switch – Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con

Hey guys,

Check it out!

Here's what I think are the best products in 2019 right now that you might want to buy!

First of all are of course, Nintendo switch!

Nintendo Switch – Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con

I've had this portable gaming system for almost 2 years now and, it's probably the best gaming console available. Yes, it's not as good as the xbox one x or ps4 pro (in terms of graphics). But, the only reason is because it's portable. With more triple AAA game developers getting on board, expect better games on it!

There are already rumours about a new nintendo switch pro or smaller version coming in 2019. That doesn't take away how good the system already are. I've enjoyed playing games like Gear.Club unlimited, Zelda breath of the wild, Skyrim, Fifa18, Smash Bros and even retro games from Namco, Atari and many more!

If you're wondering, me and my nephew seldom docked the system to play on our big screen Tv. We would rather sit or laze around on the floor playing. My nephew even brought it together with him when going for holidays. His favorite games are fifa18 and skyrim!

The next product you might want to get is the latest Sony headphone that actually came out at the end of 2018. It got great reviews and if it isn't because, I've already got myself the Sennheiser 4.50HD, I would have got it. Check it out via the link below:

Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WH1000XM3: Wireless Bluetooth Over the Ear Headphones with Mic and Alexa voice control - Industry Leading Active Noise Cancellation - Black

Probably, the most advanced bluetooth headphone available out there right now!

I prefer headphone then in-ear, earphone because, I don't like sticking things into my small ears. They keep coming out and it kinda hurts when you wear it for hours. Although, I want to try out wearing the latest samsung earbuds.

Go get 'em!

What's great to pair with the Sony headphone?

It's the latest Samsung s10+!

Check it out via the link below:

Samsung Galaxy S10+ Plus 128GB+8GB RAM SM-G975F/DS Dual Sim 6.4" LTE Factory Unlocked Smartphone (International Model w/ 128GB MicroSD Bundle) (Prism White)

Probably, the most advanced phone available right now. And, that says a lot in this iPhone-crazed world. In fact, I've already ordered mine and I can't wait to play around with it. I'll like to check out it's gaming and camera capabilities.

I'm using the Razer phone, right now and although, gaming on it is superb, but the camera aren't that impressive. Especially, when your surrounding are dark. I used the camera phone a lot to take photos and videos. I was thinking of getting the Razer phone 2, but decided to try out the latest s10+!

Razer Phone 2 (New): Unlocked Gaming Smartphone – 120Hz QHD Display – Snapdragon 845 – Wireless Charging – Chroma – 8GB RAM - 64GB - Mirror Black Finish

I upload a lot of videos on my youtube channel. That's why I totally love my iPad pro 10.5!

I use it to take videos and editing using iMovie app for my youtube channel. I thought of buying a camera but I've always loved using my iphone back then. It's fast and easy to use. You can also upload it fast once you're done with it. It's camera are definitely better than the Razer phone.

Since, I've sold my iphone and got the ipad pro. It's actually better to work with because of the bigger screen. The latest ipad 11 inch are already out. You might want to get it if you're interested with better specs then the pro 10.5. For the moment, I'll stick with what I have.

Apple iPad Pro (10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, 256GB) - Space Gray

I'm saving up to get the Nikon Coolpix P1000!

This camera is a beast!

All I'm interested in is to watch the moon at night from my kitchen windows. There's basically, nothing to block my view and with the latest p1000, I'll be able to have a closer look at it. How many time, have I wished I've had it while the glorious full moon is most bright!

I also noticed another small light beside it. I'm not sure what it is. Could be saturn or just a satellite. Even, if it's just a satellite, it'll be cool to take a look via the camera and taking videos of it. Of course, I'll probably upload it on my channel.

I know, there are the p900 that are already good enough for moon watching. But, I always like to go for the latest iterations of a product. You never know when that little upgrade will be useful. I'm hoping in the future, there'll be a powerful small and portable camera good enough to watch all the planets surrounding us.

Way cool!

Nikon COOLPIX P1000 16.7 Digital Camera with 3.2" LCD, Black

Some of the products, I've already owned and use. And, there are some, I'll be getting in the future. It's still early 2019 but these are probably, the best you'll get for the money, you're willing to spend. With latest research, I'm hoping for improvement in the products that companies are coming out with. Not that, they aren't already are.

For average users like us, the products are more powerful and advance then what the pros probably used. That's why I like tech. I want to see new things coming out every once in awhile. It makes life a little bit more interesting and more toys for me to play with!

Subscribe to our blog and youtube channel for latest post and video upload!

Happy shopping!

A New Story Direction!

Greetings!

Let's get right to it! But first...

Baby Update

A little bit less than a month is left before Caleb is born, we are very excited we have all the things ready for him and can't wait!

A new story direction!

When playing games I have found that personally for me having a story makes me more likely to finish a game. Even if the game wasn't that good, if I got invested in the story (even if wasn't that good) I felt more compelled to finish it.

This was the reason I choose to add a story element to PTD. I notice no tower defense games had a big story and I thought it would be a great addition.

So naturally for Cosmoids TD I also wanted to have a story. Originally I envisioned Cosmoids as something very similar to Pokemon. Over the years I've thought about the origin story of Cosmoids and it has changed here and there but some of the same elements have remained the same.

The story started with a powerful alien being known as the Wishmaker that encounters a young boy and grants his wish to bring these Cosmoids to Earth. I was pretty committed to this story line until a freelance artist that I hired made a concept art for the Wishmaker. I thought it looked so cool that I decided to make the Wishmaker the main character.

The Wishmaker

Along with changing the main character it was more interesting to also have the game take place in the Cosmoids original planet. This will allow for some creative environments that you wouldn't find on earth.

The next major change that I wanted to make is that in pokemon, while the pokemon are smarter than your average animal they mostly co-existed with humans the way pets do. For Cosmoids now that we are exploring their planet. I thought it would be very interesting if the Cosmoids were more humanoid like. They could speak a language, they used tools, clothing, communities. So instead of capturing them as beloved pets. You will recruit them for your cause. Below is a small preview of how a cosmoids like Chameleaf will look like. Keep in mind this is an early work in progress.
Chameleaf - Creature like (left) to Humanoid (right)
I've been mostly focused these past few weeks to working with my artist, trying to nail down the new direction so I haven't work a lot of the prototype but next week I will talk about how to focus on features and task that are needed versus wanted.

As always let me know what you think about the new story direction in the comments below, or twitter or by email at sam@sndgames.com

Have a great week and thanks for your continued support!

STAY TOONED!

by Austin Brewer

When it comes to the 90s, what game genres come to mind? Well, if you said the point-and-click adventure, you might be familiar with a little company by the name of Sierra. They were one of the big daddies when it came to point-and-click titles with the likes of King's Quest, Space Quest and Leisure Suit Larry all being fondly remembered. With such a huge archive of classics, the odd game can get easily overlooked. And one of those games was the Funnybone Interactive developed StayTooned!
